Do these have a mounting ring? - Do these have a mounting ring that stays in the desk surface like the plastic types often have?
- Thank you for your question. This design is a one-piece design and does not have a ring that stays on the desk when installed.
is this grommet flush with it's surface it is being mounted into? or will it stick up past the surface as some plastic ones do that I have seen? - the desk this is going into has a glass top that sits on the desk top. We will want the grommet to be flush with the glass.
- All of our table grommets will be raised slightly from the surface of a glass table. The flange or upper lip of the grommet will always be present on these grommets to prevent them from falling through the hole. This metal grommet has a thicker flange, measuring about 0.11" (3mm).
What are the dimensions of the smaller grommet?
- The smaller metal grommet is designed to fit into a hole of 1-9/16" and has an overall diameter of 1-13/16".
is the top removable? - I want to know if the grommets have a top that lifts off, then you have a trim ring?
What is the clear dimension of the 1 9/16" grommet? - Will a VGA cable fit through it?
- These metal grommets can accommodate any cable which is smaller than the notch opening (1" x 13/16"). This grommet does not have an outer ring, so it is installed after all of your cables are run through the desk hole.
