Mille-Tie is a quick fit fastener for primary use in data cabling installations. The standard 305mm long strips are made from high grade polyurethane which imparts both strength and flexibility to the product, making Mille-Ties ideal for gently securing delicate cables.
Heavy Duty Mille-Ties
Designed for containing and supporting bulkier cables (up to 23Kg/ 50lbs), the Heavy Duty Mille-Tie is the ideal choice for demanding cable management. This sophisticated quick-fit fastener is available in strips 560mm (22”) long, and can readily accommodate bundles in excess of 150mm (6”) diameter.
Using unmodified high-grade polymers, natural Mille-Ties are rated as a low smoke and halogen free component. LSOH Mille-Ties are recommended for all indoor structured cabling uses.
UL1565 (Plenum) Mille-Ties
Moulded from a custom polymer, the UL1565 rated Mille-Tie is designed for use as a wire positioning device in air handling spaces. (Also known as "Plenum" areas.) The UL1565 ("Plenum") Mille-Tie is ideal for the management of modern data cabling systems in confined areas where health & safety regulations stipulate the use of UL1565 and rated products.
Mille-Rod Non-Conductive Push Pull Rod Set
Economically priced and made up of rod segments with varying degrees of flexibility, this kit allows you to create custom push-pull rods whenever you need to run in-wall cable.
Mille-Rod Push Pull Rods
These high quality rods are ideal for use by the amateur and professional installer alike. Mille-Rod Standard's range enables the installation of wire and cable over long runs and through hard to access voids or cavities. Each rod is mode of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) and have specially engineered joints that are individually tested up to 80 kg (176 lbs).
Mille-Rod Professional Push Pull Rod Set
This Mille-Rod offers a high quality performance for the right price, made from GRP (glass reinforced plastic) allows for the installation of wire and cable over long runs and through hard to access voids and cavities. The Flexi Lead attachment assists with handling and navigation of your routing path.
Millepede™ Cable Rings
Millepede Cable Rings are a cost effective solution for organizing and bundling your cables. These reusable rings are a labor saving measure as they install in just seconds and leave behind no waste from clippings. Even adding or removing cables is easier as you can unclasp the rings without the use of any special tools.
Strut Ready Cable Rings
With Millepede Strut Ready Cable Rings, hanging, routing, and supporting overhead cabling has never been easier. Whereas cable rings used to require strut clamps for mounting, Millepede’s revolutionary design does away with clamps completely by snapping directly into the struts themselves
Mille-Tie is an advanced cable management tool that is based upon the concept of a multi-purpose waste-free tie strip. It uses a unique chain-like design that contains numerous apertures, each of which is actually narrower than the Mille-Tie itself. Yet magically the Mille-Tie slips easily through any aperture you choose! When made from advanced polymers, this patented design yields a strong yet extremely soft and flexible cable tie, that is perfectly suited for use on all modern performance data cabling types.
In use, Mille-Ties are more functional and convenient than other cable management strips, and are of particular benefit when installing sensitive cabling such as Category 6 and optical fiber. You can find out about the many different ways of using a Mille-Tie in our User Guide section, while our cable protection, waste management and environmental impact sections illustrate the growing need for advanced cabling techniques.
- There Are Cable Ties, and Then Are Mille-Ties!
When it comes to methods for bundling and organizing cables, cable ties can be one of the simplest and most straightforward solutions available to you. Cable ties are often a natural choice because of their cost-effectiveness, versatility, and ease-of-installation factors. Unfortunately, although they do get the job done, both nylon and stainless-steel standard cable ties can present a risk of over-tightening. To many people, over-tightening may not sound like much of a threat, but it can potentially cause damage to cable jackets, as well as the kind of pinching that can inhibit proper data signal transmission in Cat6 and optical fiber cables.
