When chemical resistance and high temperature resistance are necessary, our high temperature fluoropolymer heat shrink is the perfect solution. They protect cables, tubes and other objects. The products conform to both military and commercial standards, and in most cases exceed those standards. Fluoropolymers offer increased lubricity for easy sliding, and low moisture absorption for enhanced dimensional stability. Three materials are readily available: PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) and PVDF (Polyvinylidene Fluoride, Tradename **Kynar®).
High Temperature (Fluoropolymer) Heat Shrink Tubing
Before Shrinking After Shrinking
Kynar Heat Shrink Tubing
From $61.12 / 4FT
Perfect for high-stress, high-temp mechanical applications, this heavy duty heat shrink tubing fits and shrinks easily over the contours of odd-shaped connectors to form capsule-like protection against moisture and sharp objects.
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) Heat Shrink Tubing
From $2.64 per foot
FDA and USP certified for use in medical and diagnostic settings, this high-temp, low-friction polymer is also ideal for wire insulation in military applications.
Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene (FEP) Heat Shrink Tubing
From $2.34 per foot
Less expensive than TFE, this flame-retardant tubing conforms to the requirements of MIL-I-23053/11, and offers excellent chemical resistance.
Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF, Kynar®)
Heat Shrink Tubing
From $544.60 per 4FT stick
Available in rigid and semi-flexible versions, this heat shrink is able to withstand a temp range of 302-327°F, and has strong resistance to chemicals, abrasion and cutting.
PTFE/FEP Dual Wall Heat Shrink Tubing
From $2.97 per foot
Creates a tight-fitting, moisture-proof seal on wires, connectors, and splices that need to be used in extreme conditions with temperatures up to 450°F.
Heat Shrink Tools/ Heat Gun
As a service to our customers, CableOrganizer.com now carries a variety of tools for processing heat shrink tubing. Choose from a small hand-held butane operated flameless torch capable of temperatures up to 650°F, and two different 120V heat guns with stands for easy hands free bench top use. Both heat guns have variable heat flows for controlling temperatures. We also offer Heat Shrink Ovens to shrink your tubing in a fraction of the time needed when using a Heat Gun.
