What's special about this heat shrinkable tubing?

  • High-grade polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) material provides cables, splices, and connectors with excellent protection from abrasion, cut-through, fluids, and high temperatures.
  • Shrinks and matches the contours of uneven connectors to provide an encapsulating effect that helps keep out moisture while preventing the device from cutting-through the material.
  • Meets MIL-DTL-23053/8 specification to ensure material is safe and reliable for use in military applications requiring heat shrink tubing protection.

When it comes to protecting exposed wires and connectors from outside elements, there are many suitable options available, such as electrical tape and polyolefin heat shrink. These products are great for applications requiring minor protection or a cosmetic touch-up, but will ultimately fail under extreme conditions. Kynar® 2 to 1 Heat Shrink Tubing is a semi-rigid material with excellent abrasion, chemical, flammability, cut through, and high temperature resistance properties, which makes it ideal for some of the worst environmental, military, or industrial applications.
