Made of polyester, expandable sleeving or braided sleeving, is designed to expand and adjust to irregular shapes to protect cable and wire assemblies. It provides a durable, lightweight protective enclosure for wire bundles, cables, harnesses, and hose assemblies from mechanical damage and environmental hazards.
It is an extremely lightweight, and cost effective product for aerospace, military and communication satellite applications. Expandable sleeving come in many colors, but black and natural are standard colors. Expandable sleeving products are produced from a wide variety of materials. Polyester sleeving possesses good qualities of dielectric, excellent tensile strength softness and elasticity. Our braided sleeving comes in black. Polyester sleeving is widely used as wiring insulation for motor, transformer and electrical machinery. Requires a hot knife to cut to length.

Expandable sleeving stays flexible over a wide range of temperatures, adjusting to twisting and flexing without wrinkles, bends or bulges.

While the cable works well for its intended use, the pictures show a much thicker braided sleeving than what was delivered and the sleeving that arrived was quite thin. To me, this is not the same as advertised, and although it will work, is not what I expected to receive. Sleeving will be quite see through because of it only being single braid.

This prodct is awesome! the sleeving get quite a bit larger than you might think. But the limiting factor comes down to the size of the end of the sleev as i doesn't expand quite as much as the rest. Looks awesome too!

I used this material in various sizes when rewiring my racecar. It looks amazing and works well. The only advice I'd give to someone doing the same work, make sure you lay out all your wiring first and expect the shroud to shorten as you expand it with wiring.
I said it was difficult to remove only because I needed to remove excess at the wrong end. Pretty much my own fault, but this is the nature of the product. It wont keep me from buying more.
I love the way this stuff looks.
This stuff is almost easier to install that the split loom stuff I've used for various automotive wiring in the past.

This is sleeving is a great product for the uses it is designed. Just be careful you order the right size for your application. The material does not stretch nearly as much as I expected so I wasn't able to use it with as much of my wiring as I hoped. I kept the extra sleeving around so that I would remember to order a larger diameter next time.

The wrap is SUPER small (great for single wire protection. You need a hot wire cutter if you want a clean and sealed end to the wrap, otherwise it frays and creates a mess. Only downside to this is that you need to have an end that is no bigger than the wire to install.
