Flexo Chrome (CH) is so much more than just a hot looking wire and hose covering. Engineered by braiding heavy gauge 5 mil metallized polyester film (Mylar®) in combination with our clear polyethylene terepthalate (PET), we've produced a tough, durable and attractive solution for a wide range of applications, especially cosmetic ones. Even though it is very similar to our Mylar® product, it is heavier and has a much better abrasion resistance. The metallized Mylar® component is conductive, allowing Flexo Chrome to be used in shielding applications, as well as applications where the temperature exceeds 400° F.

Why Should I Use Chrome Braided Sleeving?

Spectacular highlights and unique effects are achieved when Chrome is combined with other sleeving types. This Silver color sleeving allows some of underlying sleeving or colors to shine through, while giving a unique look and texture to the application. For a sleeving that makes your applications look good while also providing an amount of lightweight abrasion protection, you will want to use this type of Chrome sleeving.

This strong and attractive product is both practical in electronic applications and decorative on the wires and hoses of high end show cars and motorcycles. Flexo Chrome is more durable than our Mylar® and more abrasion resistant, but they basically look the same.

Flexo® Chrome Vs. Flexo® Chrome XC

Flexo® Chrome- The standard Chrome sleeving is made of metallized Mylar and has an open look, with transparent PET braided together with the metallic strands to create an attractive glimmer when light strikes it and allows the color of the application to show through for a special effect. Flexo® Chrome is only available in Silver. (Shown on Top)

Flexo® Chrome XC– This Chrome Sleeving is also made of metallized Mylar. This X-tra coverage product, Chrome XC, provides fuller coverage with no transparent elements in the braided construction and results in a smooth, continuous metallic shine on any application. Flexo® Chrome XC is available in Silver, Gold, & Copper. (Shown on Bottom)
