Safety-Grip anti-skid tape is second to none. The original anti-slip tape was manufactured to the highest quality using the latest production methods to ensure consistent performance. Heskins first developed this durable, effective slip prevention, and even today, it remains the most popular. Non-skid tape is supplied to businesses and the public alike, with a large range of colors, sizes, and shapes, and the option of custom lengths to suit any need.


Abrasive minerals are applied to a self-adhesive carrier for quick, durable application in many different conditions.


Coarse Safety-Grip has, as the name suggests, a coarser grit on its surface than standard Safety-Grip. The grit is still aluminum oxide, but the granules are larger with deeper valleys and higher peaks. A deep anti-slip coating helps prevent clogging with dirt, dust, ice, and other debris. The deeper grit provides excellent durability. Coarse Safety-Grip is BS 7976:2 pendulum tested.


Due to its abrasive levels, Coarse Safety-Grip is more suitable for areas exposed to constant dirt or water. Industrial and construction sites often experience these conditions. The deep recesses on the surface prevent clogging, allowing the tape to provide reliable slip protection in demanding environments. The optimal application temperature for NSTC is 50°F or above.


Available in widths from 0.75″ to 46″, with off-the-shelf sizes of 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″, and 5″, as well as full-width logs. All stock sizes have a length of 60 feet.

Coarse Safety-Grip™ features a total applied thickness of approximately 0.04 inches, engineered to deliver superior traction in demanding environments. Its thicker abrasive layer provides enhanced durability and a more aggressive grip profile, making it ideal for areas exposed to moisture, dirt, or heavy foot traffic. Supported by a resilient PVC backing, the tape maintains strong adhesion while offering enough flexibility to conform to a variety of industrial surfaces. This construction ensures long-lasting slip resistance where a deeper, more rugged texture is required—without compromising installation ease or overall performance.

Functionality can be enhanced with custom printing, adding symbols, hazard warnings, or zone-specific labels directly onto the tape surface. This option allows reinforcement of safety procedures while maintaining superior grip in harsh or uneven conditions. Printed Coarse Safety-Grip can indicate “SLIPPERY WHEN WET,” mark pedestrian paths, or display caution icons, becoming a highly visible, dual-purpose safety solution. On outdoor construction sites, it can mark muddy or unstable walkways with bold directional arrows and warning graphics, guiding workers safely through unpredictable terrain. Designed to withstand dirt, moisture, and heavy foot traffic, this customized tape is ideal for high-risk environments where clear communication and reliable traction go hand in hand. Dependent on order quantity, Heskins produces coarse anti-slip tape in any size, shape, or color (matching RAL and Pantone references).
