What’s the best way to label cables? Hi, it’s Anthony from CableOrganizer®, back again with another one of the most frequently asked questions we get from our customers. And to partly answer it, there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach for labeling cables. In fact, it really depends on your application. For example, when you’re working with office, home, and AV applications, pre-made cable labels are very helpful. At CableOrganizer® we’ve got wire markers in books or booklets that you can check out here https://lnkd.in/eAuSebcH. These pre-printed markers are convenient because they stick well to power and network cables, or AV wiring. They’ve got a self-laminated clear layer that stops smudging and wear and helps them to last a long time. Some wire markers are designed for electrical panels and identify every room. We’ve also got customizable blank labels that you can print or write on. There are awesome DIY labeling products too at CableOrganizer® that work best in home, small businesses and temporary applications, like these heat shrink labels https://lnkd.in/ehBRgs5p. After they’re heated, this type wraps tightly around cables. They’re perfect for electrical jobs and environments where there are risks of the label adhesive peeling off. Data centers, IT Departments, and other large setups are some places where digital labeling and tags can be used. Check out our excellent selection of cable identification tags here https://lnkd.in/eKmQVHmy. This type can become instantly reusable and adjustable when you attach the label with zip ties. You’ll really like this type for large cable bundles where traditional labels don’t stick. They make organization a snap, especially for color-coding or numbering.
