If you want to keep Ethernet terminations solid for the long-term, keep reading for some of the best practices, plus tools you can easily grab from CableOrganizer®. And some basics: don’t untwist your twisted pairs beyond the termination because it boosts the possibility of crosstalk or insertion loss. And you’ve got to make sure what you’re using matches the category of cable. So, for example, use a shielded termination that’s compatible with Cat6A if you’re using a shielded Cat6A cable. You’ve also got to include good strain relief for your jack or plug to protect cables as they move. And make sure your cable management is up to par.
