Safety-Grip anti-skid tape is second to none. The original anti-slip tape was manufactured to the highest quality using the latest production methods to ensure consistent performance. Heskins first developed this durable, effective slip prevention, and even today, it remains the most popular. Non-skid tape is supplied to businesses and the public alike, with a large range of colors, sizes, and shapes, and the option of custom lengths to suit any need.


Abrasive minerals are applied to a self-adhesive carrier for quick, durable application in many different conditions. As NSTS Standard Safety-Grip is used for general appli­cations, it is ideal for domestic or commercial environments. Standard Safety-Grip can be used for additional slip protection on steps or across entire walkways. The optimal application temperature for NSTS is 50°F or above.


Standard Safety-Grip tape can be produced in any available color from 1″ to 46″ widths. Rolls can be manufactured at a minimum width of 0.5″ if required, along with a variety of die cuts to suit specific needs. Standard Safety-Grip is available off the shelf for immediate dispatch in 1″, 2″, 3″, 4″, and 5″ rolls. Full-width logs are also available. All rolls have a standard length of 60 feet, with 328-foot lengths available upon request.

Standard Safety-Grip™ features a total applied thickness of approximately 0.028 inches, providing the ideal balance between durability and flexibility. Its PVC backing measures about 0.004 inches, ensuring strong adhesion while allowing the tape to conform easily to smooth or slightly textured surfaces. This construction delivers a robust, long-lasting layer of slip protection without unnecessary bulk, making it suitable for both flat and contoured applications.

NSTS Standard anti-slip tape is made from a fine grade aluminum oxide, which makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. The grit is a medium anti-slip abrasive coating. Standard Safety-Grip is excellent for general anti-slip requirements, offering strong grip levels (measured as Coefficient of Friction). The tape is water-resistant when applied onto a non-porous surface, and a complete range of ancillaries is also available. It provides exceptional durability in both internal and external areas.

Depending on order quantity, Standard Safety-Grip can be produced in a wide range of sizes, shapes, and colors (matching Pantone or RAL references). Custom printing options are available, allowing slip resistance to be combined with clear visual messaging. Whether safety instructions, directional guidance, or branding are required, printing can be added without affecting performance. For example, in a multi-story office block, printed tapes reading “WARNING, STEEP INCLINE” at stairwells or “FIRE EXIT” along escape routes can help guide foot traffic while enhancing overall site safety.
