ERICO® was originally known as the Electric Railway Improvement Company when it was founded in 1903, to provide equipment to the mining and railroad industries. The company diversified into the electrical and fastening products, including those for grounding, bonding, and connectivity. In 2015, ERICO® became a Pentair company, and then separated its electrical businesses in 2018, including ERICO®, with a new, publicly traded company, nVent. Under nVent ERICO, the company offers solutions in grounding, bonding, lightning protection, surge protection, and more.
