The KS Series flexible cable carrier is an ideal cable track for travel lengths up to 300 ft. A trough system is recommended for travels exceeding 10 Ft. Heavy duty fiber-reinforced nylon is corrosion resistant. Integrated hinge bars open for easy access to cables or hoses.

    Recommendations:

  • Length (L)
  • Length requirement calculation: (Travel / 2) + ( Curve Length (CL)) + (Offset distance from center) = Length
  • Mount the stationary (fixed) end of the carrier at the center of travel, thus minimizing the required length.
  • If center mounting of the fixed end is not possible, add the distance offset from center to the carrier length calculation.
  • Interior Width (A):
  • For each cable, allow 10% Cable Clearance
  • For each hose, allow 20% Hose Clearance
  • Do not fill carrier over 60%
  • Height (H)
  • The overall height of the carrier at the loop. It is recommended that 2.5 inches clearance should be provided above the carrier to account for built in camber.

  • Radius (R)
  • The Radius of the carrier should be 8 times the largest cable or hose outside diameter.

    If I'm using this Gortrac and it will move 40 feet back and forth 10 to 20 times a day. if it didn't move what I'm feeding would use 8 and 10 awg thnn wire. what would I use in the trac or is the constant flexing an issue.
