These telescoping poles are used for installing cables in long spans in hard to reach areas such as ceilings, floors, and crawl spaces. Each rod extends to 16’ or 26’ long and collapses down to 2’ to 3’ in length for easy storage and handling. The material is non-conductive wound filament fiberglass with a polyester resin baked enamel coating. This coating gives the extendable pole additional strength and protection from rust and corrosion.

Questions & Answers

Question:

Asked by Anonymous user on 04/1/2015 10:58 AM

Answer:
  • - Thank you for your question. The 26 ft pole weights 2.1 Lbs

Question:

Do the telescoping sections lock? - Wondering how much push-pressure you can use without the sections collapsing...is there any sort of locking for the sections? I have a smaller pole where you twist the sections and they stay locked in place.

Asked by Anonymous user on 12/23/2015 3:52 PM

Answer:
  • - These poles do not have a locking mechanism integrated into the segments. The poles can provide very little pushing pressure before they begin to collapse. Pulling provides much more flexibility with the weight capacity, but the threaded ends can snap off if excessive weight is pulled with these poles.

I need a compact pole for collecting scientific specimens from trees. Would this pole be able to support a small sickle on the end, which would be used to cut small twigs (up to 1/2") by pulling?

Asked by Anonymous user on 05/25/2017 6:32 PM

Answer:
  • - Hello, the telescoping pulling pole would not work for this application as it might be a little too flexible and not have enough force to pull on the items you are cutting

Question:

Does the bullet tip have enough space for a CAT6 cable?

Asked by Anonymous user on 10/24/2017 4:01 PM

Answer:
  • - Hello, The bullet tip is not large enough to accommodate the cat 5 cable. In truth it is not a good idea to pull any cable attached just to the bullet tip The best idea is to attach the cat 5 cable to a ?Pull String? and then hand pull the data cable back through the pipe or conduit.

This item was bought to aid Explosive Ordinance Disposal experts in disposing of unexploded ordinances and IEDs while having standoff distance. Unfortunately this item cannot carry very much weight. The item boughs and decreases standoff distance when holding weight. It cannot be efficiently used for our purpose.

Comments about CMD Telescoping Push Pull Cable Pole 16 Ft.:

I install cables by profession and tried many telescoping poles before. This CMD TP-26HD 26' telescoping pole is probably the best one I ever used. The compact size means that you can use this pole in very tight spots. You can easily get this pole up in the plenum through very small opening or up against the wall. The pole is very light. This is extremely important when you are working with an extra long pole and standing on a ladder. A heavy pole will just be too much to work with. With this light-weight pole, I can work all day without getting aching my arms. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to do cabling work.

This telescoping pole is effective for many uses in the electrical industry and some security applications as well. Its a compact tool and affordable. I have many favorite specialty tools, but this one is among the top.
It is exceptionally effective in touching politicians and lawyers. Use caution when attempting these two.

This pole is very useful and does what it was designed for. Unfortunately, it is a bit delicate so you have to treat it with care or something may come apart. It has a lot of accessories you can use on the end which is a great help.
