Comments about Generic Heat Shrink Breakout Boots 2 Outlets 0.9 In. Low Voltage, High Quality:
As others have said, it shrinks down more than it looks. I am using it on a cable with an OD of abt 7/16". I used an additional piece of HS before placing the boot on the wire to make sure it would shrink snuggly. The smaller diameter HS on the 2 cores worked perfectly on 4 x 18 AWG bundles on each side. Great product.

Comments about Generic Heat Shrink Breakout Boots 2 Outlets 0.9 In. Low Voltage, High Quality:
Am using these at either end of speaker cables. I am using a few twisted pairs of cables to build a single speaker cable. At either end, I am separating out all the red cores into one lead, all the black cores into the other lead, and that's where I'm using the 2-core boot. Does exactly what I wanted it to do, and works very well.
I took one boot, empty, and gave it the heat treatment with my heat gun to see how much it shrank. It shrinks more like 3:1 than 2:1 is my guess. The adhesive melts and drips a bit, so be careful to wipe off any excess adhesive you see after you heat-shrink it. Also be careful of the boot size -- make sure that the thinner "trouser legs" are large enough for your cable. I would have bought the 1.2" boot instead of the 0.9" boot, but it's been unavailable for weeks.
I will use them always for my speaker cables.
