What's special about colored split wire loom?
Split loom corrugated tubing is ideal for wrapping up your cables and organizing them into a neat package. Instead of having multiple tangled wires and cables, you are left with one neat and orderly cable bundle. |

- Ranging sizes from 1/4" i.d. (6mm) to 2" (50mm)
The Flex Tubing Cable Organizer is a plastic (polyethylene) corrugated split tubing. It is manufactured in different sizes ranging from 1/4" i.d. (6mm) to 2" (50mm). Our tubing offers excellent protection for wiring harnesses, cables, tubing and hoses. It is very light in weight, has excellent flexibility and provides protection from abrasion, puncture, vibration and friction. It also protects against heat (up to 200°F), sunlight, water, snow, ice, salt, and automotive fluids. Our polyethylene version provides some UV protection to the enclosed cable, however there were no UV inhibitors added. The color black is more helpful in rejecting UV rays than others colors are. Split loom corrugated tubing is ideal for wrapping up your cables and organizing them into a neat package. Instead of having multiple tangled wires and cables, you are left with one neat and orderly cable bundle.
We also recommend using cable wraps or cable ties on each end to help you control the wires more effectively. Other colors available upon request. Minimums may apply. Bulk quantities are available here.

I have a cat who will chew through any electrical cord she finds. She's even tripped the house circuit breakers a couple of times (and still lives to meow about it!) Replacing cords to laptops, phones, lamps, etc. gets expensive. I LOVE this stuff. Not a real decorating fashion statement, but very effective, and my home is much safer for my bonehead Maggie.

The split loom is a fairly easy to use product for organization of wires and tubes. The split makes it very easy to use to get wires in. The seam however makes it easy for wires to come out or dust and water to get in. Wrap it in electrical tape, or just buy the non-split loom.

I ordered the blue color in 2 different sizes to use on my car and when I got them the .25 in. blue loom is the color I saw advertised on the website, but the .5 in. blue loom was a navy darker blue which didn't match up. I didn't see any warning or notice that this was the case. Looks like I need to buy a lot more of the .25 in. loom. Was happy with everything else though!

I found this stuff useful for taming the computer cables behind my glass desk. You'll want to get thick stuff (1") if you have any more than 1 power cable. It fills up fast. I have smaller 1/2" that will only hold a cat6 and a usb cable, thats it.

I ordered different sizes of blue. They were two entirely different colors of blue. They really look cheap with such a color difference side by side. The special wire loom tool they provide works great on the larger size (3/4") but not at all on the smaller size (1/2"). Other than that they get the job done.

We use this loom on rooftop CAT5 runs to help protect the outdoor U/V Cat5 cable from people walking around on the roof and as extra protection from heat and U/V and bad weather. Very easy to use. It does tend to twist around sometimes, but the benefit of the extra protection is worth the expense and time.
