The rubber-based pressure sensitive adhesive is formulated especially for low energy plastics, substrates such as polyethylene and polypropylenes. |
- Available per foot so you can get order much or as little as you need
- 5 widths to provide full or partial coverage
- High tack - quick setting
- Adhesive cures to 80% of total bond strength in an hour, and fully sets in 30 hours
- Temperature operating range -40° F to 150° F
Applications:
- "Hook" can be applied to the underside of a cord cover to securely attach it to carpeting
- "Hook" and "loop" sections can be used together to stick cord covers or raceway to smooth surfaces such as wood, tile, or linoleum

*Please note: This is a "hot melt" rubber based adhesive. In extreme heat conditions the adhesive can soften. The maximum temperature is 150° F

Hook & Loop: What is it and How do I Use it?
What is Hook and Loop?
- Hook: The “hook” side of hook and loop tape is the rougher and more rigid of the two surfaces. Hook is the side that can adhere to carpeting, and catches onto the "loops".
- Loop: The “loop” side of hook and loop tape is the softer, more cloth-like part. Many carpets also form a kind of natural loop that the hook is capable of grabbing onto.
How do I use hook and loop tape?
Hook and loop is perfect for keeping things right where you need them. For an easy example, we’ll talk about how we’d use Sticky Back Velcro tape to attach a remote control to the side of your television for safe keeping while it’s not in use.
- Step 1: First, as with all adhesive products, clean the surface that the adhesive tape will be applied to ensure proper adhesion. (For non-porous surfaces like plastic, glass and metal, we recommend a quick wipe-down with rubbing alcohol.)
- Step 2: Next, remove the paper backing from the hook tape (the rougher of the two) and adhere the tape to the cleaned TV.
- Step 3: Lastly, remove the paper backing from the loop tape (the softer one) and adhere the loop to the remote control.
- You’re Done! (Note: When you’re sticking two objects together with hook and loop, it doesn’t matter which object gets which half of the tape. As long as one item has hook on it and the other item has loop, things will work just fine.)

It's a good product. I use it in hotel meeting & board rooms. The product does not stick to carpet. Need better velcro that is going to stick to the carpet.

This velcro material is great. It works like any other hook and loop, but the glue on the back is magical. My daughter cannot yet tie her shoes so she has a lot of pairs with velcro. Obviously one of the straps got damaged. All I did was cut this product to size and stick it right on. She can now use her shoes again. It is great to see my daughter smile with appreciation.

Merchant response: This is the first case we've ever heard of where this product did not work on carpet. We sent replacements to the customer to check but they didn't work on this carpet either. This is very unusual carpet. Hotels need to be cautious.
