What's special about this HDMI Extender?
The Vanco HDMI over Single CAT5e Extender allows for distances of up to 196 feet between output source and your HDTV by running the High Definition signal over a single CAT5e or CAT6 cable. The HDMI Extender has 2 main parts, a transmitter and a receiver, both of which use an independent power supply for greater signal strength and clarity. |

- Supports Computer Resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA), 12-Bit Color Depth
- HDMI to DVI Adapter (not included) can be used – Digital DVI Video can be converted to HDMI and extended with this unit Note that DVI does not carry Audio, only Video
- Includes two 5V power supplies – 1 for the transmitter and 1 for the receiver
How it works:
The Transmitter accepts the signal from the source, such as a HDTV Box, Satellite Dish, or DVD player through an HDMI cable. A short run of cable is preferred to ensure there is no signal loss before the High Definition Signal reaches the extender box. A Single CAT5e or CAT6 cable is then used to connect the Transmitter to the Receiver box up to 196 feet away. Again, a short run of HDMI cable is then used to connect the receiver box to the HDTV display.
