The Tripp-Lite Eco UPS Systems have a 99% energy efficient battery charging system that will also power down peripherals plugged into the eco sockets when not in use. Most UPS systems are notorious for being costly to operate because not only do they use energy, but they often create excess heat which means you have to spend more money on cooling costs. The ECO series creates very little heat and has innovative UPS, and features intelligent backup battery charging.
