I've been using this device for the past 15 years and have used prior generations of the same product. Perfect for troubleshooting "dead end" cables in an older power plant. Perfect for cat-5 installations.

Overall it seems a good device. Plastic quality would be better like old devices. Doesn't feel sturdy. I haven't used all eatures yet but i'll post an update. made in china of course. :)

When I opened the package it felt kind of cheap but it performs well has a lot of nice features. The light on the end of the probe is a great addition. I've had nothing but success with it so far.

Worked great on any dead or low voltage circuit but it had issues near other live 480 cables.

I use this tone generator at the office when we run CAT5 or CAT6 to trace the cable from the outlet to the punch down. This is a great addition to my tool box. I dont need anymore to label my wires. My patch panels are clean and I know I will find what cables to focus on with this tool.
