Comments about The Brain Smart Grommet:
This product was exactly what I was looking for to finish off a small conference table. It is small and discreet on the table, but with all of the connections I need for my team. I was also please with some of the more subtle design elements including a wire chase in the base through which I was able to use for the extended microphone of our speakerphone system. Excellent product.

Comments about The Brain Smart Grommet:
I'm not sure how the other reviewer (Dave) was using his, but this worked great for us. This is a power strip with female to female jacks. You put a 2.375" to 2.5" hole in your table and slide it through - note this does not have a monitor jack, so if you need that, grab a long enough monitor cable (VGA/HDMI/whatever you need) and route that through the hole in the table FIRST, then slide in the Brain Grommet. The grommet has a channel in it for other cables. I put in a VGA cable to connect between the computer under the table to the projector on top of the table. You can plug in your phone line, a USB cord to a computer, and an Ethernet cable to the bottom of the gromment. Again, I connected a USB cable to the computer under the table so I could use the USB jacks on top of the grommet as a hub to plug in our microphone/camera, keyboard/mouse, and USB speakers. It also charges my phone connected to one of the USB jacks (don't have an iPhone though). The power cord to the grommet does not power the USB plugs - this only happens when a powered computer is plugged into one of the USB jacks.
Overall, this works great and reduces the amount of cords going across the table considerably.

Comments about The Brain Smart Grommet:
We purchased this for a conference room table. It looked like just what we were searching for but upon testing the unit we found that it would not charge an Iphone via the USB ports. It says that it is USB 2.0 compatable but not convinced. Had to return it.
