Protect hoses from wear, corrosion and blowouts with our Stainless Steel braided sleeving. Custom hoses overbraided with stainless steel are quite expensive, selections are often limited, and delivery times lengthy. You can take any standard or custom hose, slip our stainless steel braid over it, hide the cut ends under your clamps and achieve the same look and protection as custom overbraided hoses for a fraction of the cost. |
Our pre-rounded stainless steel sleeving is easy to install and comes in diameters and expansion ranges to accommodate almost any hose or wire application. Great for expansion joints where constant movement and high temperatures requires a flexible, indestructible covering.
Great for outdoor applications. Several government agencies have used our metal braided sleeving to protect fiber optics, RG-6 coaxial cable and Category 5E cables from biting rodents in the wilderness.
- Tubular braid that is also expandable for easy wire or hose installation.
- Extremely high melt temperature (2650° F/1450° C) will protect wires and hoses within automobiles
- It can be cut with serrated scissors or shears to your desired length
- Made or virtually indestructible 304 Stainless Steel
- Very high abrasion resistance
- Braided from 0.010" diameter monofilament
- Easy to install, fits right over hoses

Comments about 3/4 in. Stainless Steel Braided Sleeving per foot:
I am performing long-term sky timelapse of chemical trails (chemtrails). Before using this shielding, I was getting errors in my Canon camera USB cable a couple times a week which would lock up the timelapse process. After wrapping the USB cable that goes from the computer to the camera with this stainless shield and then clipping it to the computer's ground with an alligator connector, all data errors have stopped. It's been working perfectly since.

Comments about 3/4 in. Stainless Steel Braided Sleeving per foot:
A little difficult to use. I was a first timer. Excellent idea to use shrink tube to do the ends. I did three different diameters, five different hoses, and a total of about twelve feet of hose. Removing and reinstalling the hoses plus doing the covering took eleven hours. The outcome was perfect.

Comments about 3/4 in. Stainless Steel Braided Sleeving per foot:
Stainless Steel sleeving is one of the strongest abrasion resistant braids available for purchase by the foot. Even though this sleeving is on the expensive side, the sacrifice at the wallet is worth protecting my cables. I cannot afford to replace the cables on my computer, TV, Xbox, and Wii, so protecting them is my best option.
The worst part of installing this sleeving is the fraying ends. Forcing a plug or connector through the opening of the sleeving causes a great deal of fraying and in my case lost me about a two-inch length of the sleeving. I fixed this by taping the ends of the braided sleeving and trimming off the frayed tips.
