What's special about the GA-72CD?

  • Versatile and cost effective one-hand locator is able to detct the magnetic field of iron and other steel objects, as well as live power lines
  • More detection range than conventional metal detectors
  • Rugged to withstand the rigors of daily on-site usage and a wide range of harsh conditions, including gusty winds and light rain
  • You know you are directly over your target because of the audio detection signals that peak in frequency when the locator's tip is held directly over the target

This unit works by responding to the difference in the magnetic field between two sensors which are spaced about 14 inches apart. The GA-72Cd is unique because it provides an audio signal, and visual indications of both signal strength and polarity. Although most objects can be located using either of the indications, simultaneous use of both types will help you pinpoint a target and determine its orientation and identify magnetically detectable nonmetallic duct and cable.

Rocky terrain, undergrowth, swampy areas, shallow creeks, and snow covered areas (do not immerse electronics unit in the snow and water)

  • Set your locator for either nulling or peaking depending on the strength or interference in the region you are searching
  • Precise, sharp detection signal pinpoints the target to save you time and effort
  • Piezoelectric speaker ensures a high quality, easy to identify sound
  • Five individual sensitivity settings allow you to personalize your search for your needs
  • The more you use this device, the easier identification becomes before you even dig. You will be able to distinguish between small pieces of scrap iron and actual targets

Tracemaster IITraceMaster II Pipe & Cable Locator - Schonstedt
The Schonstedt TraceMaster II is the first pipe and cable locator to provide a remote link between the transmitter and the receiver units. This is done through a radio frequency (RF) two-way communications channel, that allows you to change the transmitter frequency from the receiver.
XTpc Pipe & Cable LocatorXTpc Pipe & Cable Locator - Schonstedt
The XTPC operates in passive mode, three different active modes (conductive, inductive and clamp), and a sonde mode. In the passive mode the receiver searches for 60 Hz or 50 Hz signals. In the active modes the transmitter operates at a frequency of 33 kHz or 82 kHz (depending on which you purchase).
