The mouse tray connects to the side of the keyboard with two bolts, but the rackmount frame blocks it being installed properly. I consider this a design flaw.
If one had a flat fronted rack, I would recommend this as a cheap keyboard tray.

We ended up not using this as the cable management on the rack blocked putting the mouse tray on the side, plus the servers stuck out too far to sit in front of the rack to work on them. Instead, we had to setup everything on a table next to the rack. But...if we didn't have those issues, we would use this and I think it's a great product because it is far more affordable than any other option I found for putting a keyboard & mouse on a rack. I like how you can install the mouse tray on either side or the front of the keyboard tray.

It's basic, it's stationary, but I still think this is the coolest keyboard shelf: you can place the mouse tray on either side, or even in the center. It's sort of ambidextrous! This shelf doesn't have the most exciting look, but it's very functional. Whether they're left or right handed, anyone who uses this tray can comfortably click away with the mouse. Nice touch!
