Ask the experts #measure2-cut1: Getting it right. According to The Art of Manliness  Sculpting your beard is best left in the hands of a professional barber rather than the cute hairdresser at Supercuts. They’ll do things with an electric number 2 razor – like taper the lines, and shape the chin and advise you whether you should keep the cheeks shorter than the goatee area.

All things I don’t understand, but if you have a beard and a social life – they are vitally important. Go to the place that understands manly follicles best – The American Barbershop.

security camera When it comes to security cameras it can be hard to work out which one is best for your application and needs. There are generally many different choices to choose from and can be confusing for many people. Here are some generally insight into the different features of security cameras and what they are designed to do for your application when installed.

The Features And Operation Of Security Cameras

Night Vision: Night vision is pretty much what the words say, vision, or viewing, of a night in dark areas. Night vision cameras are generally used in night time only surveillance recordings or are used with day and night cameras which offer 24 hour running capacity. Night vision allows the camera to see in the dark and enables for it to record and capture objects or trespassers in the dead of night clearly.

Backlight Compensation: If you see a surveillance camera which features backlight compensation, it can be beneficial for many reasons. Backlight compensation allows for dark background objects that normally can’t be made out by normal security cameras to be brought forward into the foreground and highlighted to view exactly what the image portrays. This feature is great for helping to identify thieves and trespassers and can help lead to making an arrest.

Resolution: Resolution is what makes your image clear or blurry. Resolution is generally measured by how many image lines are close together to form an image. In general rule the standard resolution for a security camera is around 300-400 lines. Resolution ratings higher than this including 500-600 lines will provide a much clearer and detailed image when recorded.

IP Rating: The IP rating is generally used to tell whether the security camera will be used for outdoor or indoor use. IP ratings will tell you whether the camera can handle tampering and whether it can handle rain or weather conditions. Although there are many IP rating options, the most common waterproof rating you may see on security cameras of IP44 ratings. The higher the rating the more resistance the camera will have against changing weather conditions and vandalism.

Tips To Choosing Security Cameras For Your Business

security cameraTheft is always a concern when it comes to businesses. It can cost you hundreds to thousands of dollars when something is stolen and is always concerning especially if you don’t have any way to identify and capture the thieves. This is where security cameras come in handy for businesses, but how do you know what security camera to purchase for your business to ensure that it works to your advantage? Here are some tips when choosing a security camera for your business.

What To Consider When Choosing A Security Camera

24 Hour Surveillance: Once of the first things that can be considered is the use of a 24 hour security camera. 24 hour cameras are beneficial for many reasons but the main reason is they provide recording throughout the day, then switch to black and white recording during the night depending on the type of camera used. This can be beneficial for night time robberies and can help to capture criminals if a theft occurs.

Indoor or Outdoor: Choosing a security camera will also greatly depend on whether you will be using it for indoor or outdoor use. It is important to ensure that your security camera is rated for weather proof properties when using it in exposed outdoor locations. IP ratings of 44 and higher tend to ensure weather protection although it is always best to check the box or the specifications to make sure.

Resolution: Resolution is also another important factor when it comes to choosing a security camera. The resolution is usually rated in TV lines and the more TV lines the resolution has the clearer the image will be. Standard resolution is generally around 300-400TV lines although if you want to make sure you capture your criminals, a camera that features between 500-600TV lines will be better as it contains more image lines which are closer together to make a clearer image.

Vandal Resistant: In some attempts on businesses and shops the security camera may be damaged or targeted by the criminals. To ensure that your camera is fully working at all times during the assault and robbery, the use of a vandal proof camera may be beneficial. Vandal proof cameras can provide protection against tools right up to sledge hammers depending on the rating. The first number in the IP rating generally helps to tell you whether it will be able to withstand vandalism. The higher the number the more resistant it will be.

So if you want to protect your business and all its contents, then why not take some of these tips into consideration when looking to purchase a security camera for your business.
