The Panduit LabelCore™ fiber optic cable labeling and identification system utilizes a sleeve and vinyl label in order to provide the largest possible labeling surface that is fast to use and easy to read. These wire identification sleeves are color coded for convenience (Yellow for 2mm simplex, Orange for 3mm simplex, and White for 3mm duplex) so there's no mistaking which cable you're dealing with. This system utilizes the TIA/EIA-606-A standard as a method of creating a unified and complete means for the labeling of an entire telecom/datacom fiber optic infrastructure.

Comments about Panduit Puit - Labelcore Identification Sleeve For 2Mm Simplex Fiber Optic Pack Of 100:
I work as an installer for a company that does large-scale fiber optic installations, and everyone in my department loathes the days when we have to label our cabinets with this system. While the labels and sleeves do look good, provide a clean look , and have a snug fit , actually installing these sleeves is another story. If you are only using the sleeves on a small amount of wires, there's no issue...But , when you need to label a cabinet that has over 250 fibers inside , these sleeves become a pain...literally. They are small and very rigid, which forces you to have to pry them open with our fingers and hold them open while wrapping them around the extremely delicate fibers . After repeating this 40 or 50 times , it can cause your fingertips a good amount of pain. After 100-150 , the skin on your fingers can actually start rubbing off , making your finger tips raw...and by the time you've finished labeling a cabinet with 288 wires insiade , your fingers can actually bleed. After a lengthy search , I couldn't find any tools that can be used to make this process less painful. This product is made to LOOK good so business owners , managers & executives can say "See how pretty this looks..." , but its definitely NOT made with the installers in mind ( You know , the people who actually have to install these evil yellow demons ).
