OSHA Color Coding Requirements
Color coding system used to specify a particular type of gas, liquid, or other material in pipes, tubing, or other locations that uses the following 11 colors: Brown= Oil, Green= Water, Gray= Steam, Blue= Air, Orange= Electrical, Red= Fire/Flammable, Purple= Acids/Radiation, Yellow= Gases, Black or White= General Purpose-Resistant to acid, alkalides, oils, moisture, humidity & corrosion.
