FAR 25.853 and 25.855 Vertical Burn Test
The Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) vertical Bunsen Burner test is method used for determining the flammability resistance and/or burn time of materials used in the construction of the cabin and cargo of a Federal regulated aircraft.  When the given material is tested according to the 12-second or 60-second test specified in FAR 25.853 and FAR 25.855, it is judged on a pass or fail  basis using the burn length, after flame time, and drip flame time to determine the end result.
