Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

The carpal tunnel is an opening in the wrist, which allows the passage of several tendons and the median nerve. If excessive pressure is placed in the median nerve where it passes through the carpal tunnel, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) can result. CTS symptoms often manifest themselves during the night, and can include numbness, tingling, and pain in the arm, hand or wrist.
