Leviton’s Structured Media™ enclosures (SMC) simplify running cable and managing media equipment, and provide a more cost-effective means to protecting your Datacom/Telecom network. Designed to be a central distribution point for all your home or small office systems, the enclosure accommodates networking, fax, Internet, DSL and cable.

  • Constructed from durable 18-gauge, white powder-coated steel that protects delicate and expensive equipment without sacrificing your home’s style and beauty
  • Flush mount cover overlaps the enclosure by ¾” to hide possible unsightly and uneven drywall cuts around the Structured Media Center when recessed
  • Mounting hook on the cover aligns screw holes for easy and stress free installation
  • Grommets are made from self-healing foam to protect electrical and ethernet cable bundles

Nice enclosure

Comments about Leviton-Structured Media Center, Series 140 Enclosure and Flush-mount Cover:

Would be nice if a lock (or at least latch) and hinges were standard for this item -- they're add-ons, without which only only friction and gravity hold the cover over the enclosure.

Other than that, this is a sturdy, well-engineered enclosure that's just right for the typical single-family home's data/phone/coax-terminating needs.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
