Comments about Leviton-Structured Media Center, Series 140 Enclosure And Flush-Mount Cover:

I'm a big fan of Leviton and didn't have trouble choosing this box for my mom's 800 square foot retirement home (she wanted a small place, loves it). I wired her brand new home with CAT6 and used the 140 box for the patching. Because of how the home was built, I was unable to get in before the place was finished but I did get some conduit stubbed out to each drop location and a couple of runs to the master bedroom closet where I mounted this box as a surface mount. I would have strongly preferred to have it flush but decided against it since the location we selected had only exterior walls and I didn't want to mess with a recessed box in an exterior wall ... we need the insulation there.

Box is great, good size, holds every thing we need and maybe just a tiny bit more. Got the hinged cover without a lock -- latch works fine to keep it closed. Clean professional look.

Would do it again the same way in a heart beat.

      Nice enclosure

Comments about Leviton-Structured Media Center, Series 140 Enclosure And Flush-Mount Cover:

Would be nice if a lock (or at least latch) and hinges were standard for this item -- they're add-ons, without which only only friction and gravity hold the cover over the enclosure.

Other than that, this is a sturdy, well-engineered enclosure that's just right for the typical single-family home's data/phone/coax-terminating needs.
