- Individually tested to exceed standards.
- Crimping die behind hinge for superior leverage crimping non-insulated connectors, lugs and terminals.
- Toothed pipe grip for greater power.
- Integral guards help prevent hand contact with conductive parts.
- Custom US-made tool steel
Klein Tools insulated pliers feature two layers of insulation on the handles-a bright orange, impact-resistant outer coating covers a white, high-dielectric inner coating. The double-insulated design provides superior protection against electrical shocks of up to 1,000 volts.
The thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) handles are patented and designed for exceptional toughness. They are built to resist chemicals, abrasions and marring. An integral guard on the top of the handles helps prevent inadvertent hand contact with conductive parts.

WARNINGS:
- Whenever possible, always de-energize lines and equipment prior to working on or around them. Klein insulated tools are designed only to reduce the chance of injury where the tool may make contact with an energized source.
- Do NOT touch uninsulated portion of the tool or any conductive object when either might contact an energized source.
- Because moisture, films, or other surface contaminants are conductive, Klein insulated tools must be kept clean, dry, and free of any surface contaminants.
- Always wear approved eye protection.

Klein® insulated pliers exceed the EN 60900 and ASTM F1505 industry standards for insulated tools. The pliers are clearly marked with the official "1,000-Volt rating" symbol.
Like all Klein pliers, the new insulated pliers feature a hot-riveted joint to ensure smooth action with no handle wobble. The high-leverage design on the side-cutting pliers provides 46% greater cutting at the knives than other designs allow.
Other Klein features of the pliers include a precision gap at the jaw, induction-hardened cutting knives, and a precision-hardened head for on-the-job toughness. The head is constructed of custom, U.S.-made tool steel.
