Insultherm Spark Plug Boot Insulators are the ideal solution for protecting spark plugs, boots and cable ends from extreme engine heat. SPBI's are woven from durable, heat resistant fiberglass yarn. |
Protects up to 1,200° FThe woven fabric is formed into a double layered sleeve that easily fits over most standard plug/boot combinations, even right angle configurations. The assembly will resist to temperature bursts up to 1,200° F and will continuously protect your delicate components up to 500° F.

I looked around, someone wanted [$] a piece for these boot sleeves. My friend is a manager at Autozone and a 3ft section of this is almost $60. I would have liked the mylar-refective sleeve but 3/4 was too small and 1inch was too big. I haven't ad the chance to install them on my 79' camaro. My truck got jealous and the neutral safety switch went out in Autozone parking lot. I have drill(army) this weekend so it might be next week to get install. These should work great I bought the camaro in May and August 23 it finally burned thru one of the boots. Only one plug and plug wire is behind the header with a 1/4 inch gap. The rest should be fine but if these boots work for that one plug/ boot. No only will I be able to keep my headers and save money. I'll buy 4 more of these boot sleeves to put on the rest of my plug boots. Thank You!

I installed these on a 460 ci ford in which I removed the stock heat shielding from. Installation was a snap and the shielding slipped over the wires perfectly. There was noticeable browning but at least my boots and wires are okay!
