As robotics, milling, and CNC machinery become faster and more advanced, higher levels of stress and friction can result, and standard cabling becomes inadequate. As an answer to this problem, IGUS®, a world leader in Energy Chain Systems®, has developed a new line of power and data cables that can withstand the grueling rigors and friction caused by the constant movement of automated machinery and its components. The Chainflex® CF6 line of Shielded PVC Control Cables is designed to provide installers and machine operators with a reliable cabling solution for control mechanisms that can withstand friction, stress, machine oil, and damaging UV rays in indoor or outdoor applications.

  • Conductors are made from finely stranded bare copper wires that provide reliable power and performance in accordance with EN 60228
  • Individual conductors are coated in a high-quality, mechanical grade PVC-insulating compound that protects bare copper from corrosion prior to installation, and reduces crosstalk after termination
  • Gusset filled, intermediate jacket is made of a pressure extruded PVC-based, low-adhesion blend that keeps the inner core securely bundled for promoting higher tensile strength, while maintaining a high degree of flexibility
  • Overall Shield is constructed from a highly flexible tinned copper braid, which reduces the effects of outside interferences, and acts as a second level of defense if the outer jacket becomes worn or damaged
  • Durable outer jacket is made from an oil-resistant, PVC-based blend that has been adapted to the rigors and friction found inside cable/hose carrier systems
  • Outer jacket is Silicon-free in compliance with PV 3.10.7 – status 1992
  • Flame rating FT1
