      I use this at the top of my small home network rack for the cable modem. Its a bit over-kill for just the cable modem though. It would hold a battery or something heavier without fear it would bend. It is an excellent shelf, but I always think that in the end it's a powder coated piece of metal... why is it so expensive? (and this is the cheapest I could find it).
