The CableCaster®, a gun-like device allows cable installers to thread cable through hard-to-reach places. The CableCaster® is an exceptional tool for professional wire and cable installers as well as do-it-yourselfers. It significantly speeds up the installation of lightweight communications cable through hard-to-reach spaces such as suspended ceilings, rafters and sub-floors. |
In addition, it improves productivity when installing cables over long distances. The CableCaster® is even fun to use - just shoot the glow-in-the-dark dart up to 50 feet, attach the cable and pull it back using the take-up reel. An integrated holder accommodates the Pocket-light Flashlight (sold separately) for improved visibility in dark areas.

This little cable caster made short work of raising a 40'x60' poly tarp in the air for shade and rain protection for 3 women camping on the Guadalupe River this past 4th of July. Just aim and shoot, pick up little dart, tie on rope, pull back thru the tree and pull up the tarp. We were using a rock tied to the rope and it would take us hours to finally get the job done with many sore arms from throwing trys.
The best thing about this little cable caster is that it is compact and can be changed from right handed retreive to left handed retreive. The darts are fairly easy to spot and have a loop on the end to tie a string or rope to.
We found the 2-6 lb. test line it came with to light for our purposes. We stripped off that line and replaced it with SpiderWire (10lb.)and it worked like a charm. I can see where this little gem will come in very handy in the future.
I am sure once the secret gets out all of our camping pals will be out buying one, as we aren't sharing ours. Thanks for a great product !!!

We are useing this to run inside wire for telephone in office spaces that are finished.
When you need to run a section that is longer than the gun will shoot (30 to 40 feet) you can put the dart into a second gun and keep shooting it as far as you need to.

We had one and liked it so we bought 2 more. Pretty hard to actually get the whole 50 feet above the ceiling because of the arch it needs to make it that far, but it's sure as heck beats pushing a 15 foot fishing pole accross a fiberglass covered ceiling.
