Recommendations:

  • Length (L)
    • Length requirement calculation: (Travel / 2) + ( Curve Length (CL)) + (Offset distance from center) = Length
    • Mount the stationary (fixed) end of the carrier at the center of travel, thus minimizing the required length.
    • If center mounting of the fixed end is not possible, add the distance offset from center to the carrier length calculation.
  • Interior Width (A):
    • For each cable, allow 10% Cable Clearance
    • For each hose, allow 20% Hose Clearance
    • Do not fill carrier over 60%
  • Height (H)
    • The overall height of the carrier at the loop. It is recommended that 2.5 inches clearance should be provided above the carrier to account for built in camber.
  • Radius (R)
    • The Radius of the carrier should be 8 times the largest cable or hose outside diameter.
