Generac offers two types of transfer switches; choose between automatically disconnecting the power from utility before switching to the generator, or manually switching the transfer of power. Available in either 100 or 200 amps, they're a perfect addition for hospitals, office buildings, or homes. |
- Two different types of transfer switches to choose from:
- Manual, to physically transfer the power from utility to generator
- Open transition, to automatically shut off power from the utility before turning on the generator
- Synchronizes different power sources before the power is combined or loads are transferred, for safety
- The transfer switch will only start the generator when the switch senses no utility power
- 160 millisecond transfer time for continuous power without delay
- Part numbers GE-04678 and GE-04635 have a service disconnect switch built in, while part numbers GE-05036 and GE04945 will need to have a service disconnect installed elsewhere prior to installing the transfer switch
- NEMA 3R rated, so it's safe to use outside in hot or cold climates
- UL 1008 listed
