Both Cable Managers use links that can be removed to reduce their height for use under shorter tables or desks. To remove a section of the Cable Elevator, simply pull the adjoining sections apart, discard the middle unused part, and then push the remaining Elevator together. For the Flexible Cord Tower, push adjoining links down and then press inward on both sides to unhinge the links. Repeat for the other link and discard the middle unused section; reverse the procedure to join the remaining Cord Tower.

The Flexible Cord Tower and the Cable Elevator are convenient products that will look stylish under any desk. Both products are constructed of tough ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) plastic, a material known for its rigidity and heat resistance. The Flexible Cord Tower is round in shape, while the Cable Elevator's shape is more oval, which makes it perfect for installation in tighter spaces. The Cable Elevator also features a weighted base plate that allows the unit to self-stabilize once it is mounted!

    Comments about Flexible Cord Tower:

I purchased this product to get rid of the wires I have hanging from my computer desk. I have a 2-yr-old son and didn't want the wires tempting him. When I received the product, there were no instructions in the box and there was no hardware to connect it to my desk. Also, one of the links was broken, so we were unable to use it (we ended up not needing it anyway because of the height of the desk). Luckily we had screws laying around that fit into the product and I was able to successfully install it. It took a while because the screws were in a hard to maneuver place, but once it was on, it worked great. I was able to fit all of the wires under the desk into this tube, and there were a lot. It looks much neater, and my son has gone nowhere near it. There are no more "tempting" wires for him to look at. I was disappointed at the fact that there was no hardware included, as this is not listed on the website when you order the product, but overall, I think it's great.

      Comments about Flexible Cord Tower:

I used the Cable Elevator to hide my network cables, phone line, and cell phone charger cord. It was very easy to use. The insertion of the cables was a breeze, and there are som many entry/re-entry points that you can break out cables at any point. Since I have a glass top desk, I used an adhesive mounting base and a cable tie to secure it to the desk. You can use screws with a wood desk.

        Comments about Flexible Cord Tower:

I was the first person to use the cable elevator in the office. I loved it. It took no time to conceal all my computer cables and it looks great with my desk since the frame is also silver. The cable managers are a cheap quick and easy way to tame the cable jungle under your desk.

P.S.: If you have a chiropractor friend, this could be a fun and useful gadget to get him. Looks like a spine.
