The BRK First Alert combination carbon monoxide and smoke detector is chock full of features to give you the peace of mind you need to rest easy knowing your family is protected from two deadly conditions: carbon monoxide poisoning and house fires.

  • Interconnected technology allows you to connect 12 other smoke alarms and 6 other devices, such as bells, horns, and strobe lights; on interconnect models, the system works as one large unit
  • Unique latching/flashing alarm technology is activated when the sensor is exposed to levels of carbon monoxide that reach dangerous levels
  • They alert you that there was a spike in carbon monoxide levels by the continuous LED red light flashing until you reset the button so you are informed there was a problem and can pinpoint what the problem was and where
  • Locking pin prevents unauthorized removal of the battery; ideal for apartments, dormitories, hotels and other similar applications where unauthorized removal of battery should be discouraged
  • Easy push tab opens battery compartment allowing you to change the battery without having to remove the entire unit
  • In the event of an alarm, you will be alerted visually with the LED lights as well as audibly with the loud 85 dB horn
  • One button tests to ensure device is working and during an alarm it is the same button you press to silence the unit
  • Under normal operational conditions, LED will flash every minute to let you know all is working as it should
  • Unit will “chirp” when the battery is low alerting you to change your battery
  • You cannot close your alarm’s cover if the battery is not installed so there is no accidentally forgetting to arm your alarm
