The patented EZ-RJ® connector simplifies RJ45 connector plug twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to be inserted through the connector and pulled OUT THE FRONT. Reducing the distance between the wire twists and the pin contacts improves electrical specification performance. The EZ-RJ12/11 Connectors simplify twisted pair terminations by allowing the wires to be inserted through the connector and out the front. This feature allows technicians to verify that they have the proper wiring order before terminating their connector.

A bit of a pain to clean up the cut edges with a razor without the tool but doable. Nice way to atleast to strighten out each color and use a regular end to crimp.

Upon first presentation this sounded like a fantastic tool. Usage in the field however has presented several problems. The cutter does a poor job and rarely does it cut all wires completely. Secondly there is a tendency for the blade to drift outward away from the body of the tool. This causes too much wire to stick out past the end of the connector making it difficult or impossible to seat the connector properly in the socket. The tool also does not crimp properly and poor connections result. I have had to go back and re-crimp the connectors with another tool to get proper connections.

The modular plugs themselves work as advertised. They allow you to push the wires completely through the plug which gives you absolute visual verification that your wires are in the correct order and that you can get a secure crimp on the cable jacket.
However, the crimping tool that you buy separately does not do its job well. It does crimp and make solid connections, but it is supposed to cut off the excess wire sticking through the end of the plug too.
It cuts the middle six wires, but it never completely cuts the first and eighth wire, leaving you to try and clip them off with a small pair of cutters. This happens 100% of the time since I've had them.
I'm still pretty happy with the setup, but they need to improve the "cutting" aspect of the crimping tool that goes with these particular plugs.

The excess wires that are inserted into the connector and out the front of the connector need to be trimmed very close to the connector body. Other wise the network connection may not be made when plugged in (i.e., into the pc or router). A tool that crimps and trims at the same time may solve this issue.
