ElektraLink Sealed Solder Butt Splices are an excellent choice for professional electricians that require high quality electrical connections. These butt splices provide that much needed connection. Each splice has just the right amount of solder to create a secure connection and an adhesive lined heat shrink tubing to seal it and provide protection against the elements. |
- Splices are color coded and imprinted with wire AWG to make wire identification easy
- Translucent tubing allows you to visually inspect your soldered connection and provides a durable permanent seal
- Ideal for use in automotive (OEM and aftermarket), marine, and fleet industries
- Adhesive lined tubing protects your connection from corrosion which can cause wire voltage to drop
- Premeasured solder takes the guesswork out of soldering wires together
- Soldering keeps your wires together, forms a perfect connection, and makes for outstanding current flow
- Solder paired with adhesive lined tubing avoids wires being pulled loose due to vibration or pulling

Comments about Elektralink Sealed Solder Butt Splice 22-24 AWG- Pack of 50- Clear:
shrinking the splice on the wire does hold the wires in place. I also twist the wires and slide the splice over the connection and then heat the splice. I have not had one splice come apart and I have used over 200. You save time and money by not having the splice separate.

Comments about Elektralink Sealed Solder Butt Splice 22-24 AWG- Pack of 50- Clear:
I finally got tired of wires pulling loose from a standard butt splice, especially on automotive wiring(18 to 24 gauge). It is very important to shrink the wrap around the wires before heating the solder. This holds the wires in place.

Comments about Elektralink Sealed Solder Butt Splice 22-24 AWG- Pack of 50- Clear:
These are of good quality...to good in reality. The solder is too thick and does not distribute well with the timing of the heat shrink part of the connector. You must continue to heat the connector to get the solder to melt after the heat shrink has already completed it's job. This can lead to overheating of the heat shrink and the wire insulation.
I have used these extensively in automotive applications. When they work correctly, they are the absolute best vibration and weather proof connector. Apparently the ones I have used previously to these were another brand (I no longer have access to them, retailer out of buss.), as the timing on them was perfect.
I wish this retailer carried them because ordering from CO was a perfect experience.
