Designed for 19" wall mount equipment, these racks are outfitted with EIA-compliant #12-24 threaded rails on both the front and rear flanges. Great product overall. However. The usuable rack spaces are only 11. The way the item is designed you cannot use the top or bottom rack units to mount any equipment because the lip from the bottom and top horizontal support takes up almost half unit space. Also the bottom screws used in assembly also take up same space in the top and bottom unit as used by the cross support, so modification will not do much to aid gaining use of these 2 rack spaces without losing stability. In this case I had to redesign my plans using different equipment to get working what I wanted to work. Also the screws for binding the rack together could be just a tad bit longer for easier assembly. After you overcome these obstacles, it is a great product for being a space save where you need it

This wall unit is a great way to declutter your network stuff. We have a couple of these and are ordering more. Fairly easy to put it together and rock solid if you mount it on a chunk of plywood. Seems like a good product to me.

The pros are that it's a rack that can be mounted on a wall. Make sure to attach it to something solid. I used some wood laying around I put into studs and then screwed the rack into the wood. The cons are [...]The instructions are horrible. It ships with 500* screws and it's impossible to tell which to use for actual assembly. Also make sure you assemble the parts correctly or the width between the verticals will be too small to get your equipment/shelves into. The vertical posts go BETWEEN the bottom crossbar and the posts that attach to the wall.

No matter what kind of application you have, if there are electronics to house and floor space is limited, these wallmount racks are the perfect solution. The open frame also allows equipment to stay cool without needing a built-in thermal management system.
