General purpose nylon 6/6 is suitable for use in most practical applications at a continuous temperature up to 150°F. Nylon 6/6, the grade most often used for cable tie production. Its working temperature range is from -40° F to 185° F. Our cable ties are widely used.
5" cable ties are used to secure up to a 1-3/4" diameter cable bundle.
8" cable ties are used to secure up to a 2-1/4 " diameter cable bundle.
11" cable ties are used to secure up to a 3" diameter cable bundle.

For me, trying to cut off regular tightly-fitted cables ties (while trying not to cut the cables themselves) can be a huge pain in the you-know-what! It's also, not to mention - a complete waste when you make a mistake and have to cut the tie off and trash it, just to do a simple repositioning or add/subtract more cables... This is why I love these Releasable Cable ties. Make a mistake? Need to reposition? Want to re-use it elsewhere? Simply press down on the little latch, loosen to fix, and then re-tighten - and you're good to go. (Note: Like anything, you should expect that the tie itself will eventually need to be replaced due to wear and tear. However, depending on how often you loosen and re-tighten it, it could be quite a long time before it needs to be changed out at all.) I'll never go back to using regular cable ties. Less hassle, less waste - This just makes more sense!

Good Idea- but the releasble tab portion is too small- unless you have long finger nails you could be in trouble trying to release it.

These work like normal cable ties but you can finish the job before clipping the ends and if you change your mind about routing half way through (and we all do), you can loosen or remove the ties placed through that point without having to cut them and start over. The "releasing" mechanism on this cable tie is what makes it great. I am the IT manager for a small company and I am frequently having to bundle and re-bundle cables as computer equipment gets moved around from desk to desk. The releasable cable tie makes the job much easier; I no longer have to carry my cable tie cutters when I'm moving equipment!
