I have used a couple of these cable snakes to better organize the cords that dangle from my work desk. Although you can fold cords within the snake, I decided to use two snakes to accommodate the relatively long cords from laptops, audio equipment, etc. When installing the snake, I found it best to first completely open the snake, i.e. undo the velcro and tension cord, then fit the cords inside accordingly. When you reapply the tension cord, it might take some dexterity and precision to feed it through the tension clamp. Overall, I have found these snakes very helpful in making my work space neater.

We recently moved back into our office spaces after the Flood of 2010 here in Mid-South, Tennessee. I have a new office system and cords were everywhere. I purchased the cable covers and it made my desk look sleek and stylish. I love them. They were easy to install and they look crisp and clean. I don't like clutter and these are perfect to cover cords in a stylish manner.
