Is it better to use a rack or an enclosure?
Whether you use a rack or an enclosure depends on what type of environment it will be used in. Racks are a great cost effective option when your components are not in need of high security (if they are already stored in a secured room) or if you are setting up a simple workstation with a computer and monitor and any other sort of components of that nature. Enclosures are best used in situations when security is necessary (when you do not have a secure location for storage, or in educational environments to deter tampering). Enclosures come equipped with locks on the front and rear doors, and also the side panels. When ordering multiple enclosures, they will come keyed separately as a safety precaution, but if you are in need of having multiple enclosures with the same lock and key, it can be done with a slight lead time.
