CableOrganizer.com Knowledge Database - F.A.Q.

Does Plenum Rated Wire Loom replace the standard for building codes for wires needing to be plenum coated?
The general answer is no. The cables themselves must be encased in plenum covering. The wire loom is another coat of plenum to consolidate the many cables and make it easier to find them and pull them. Plenum just releases less gas if a fire was to occur and has a higher heat resistance. It is best to check with your building inspector or ordinance codes to see if this will meet the correct specs.
